The App Fair Project: Intellectual Property Review
Apps distributed through the App Fair must respect intellectual property rights, including those of platform providers and other developers. Impersonation and misleading use of names or branding are prohibited.
Before distribution, the App Fair reviews the submitted source, licensing information, assets and listing for apparent rights issues. Developers must establish their authority to distribute the submission, identify applicable licenses and retain required notices and attribution. The inclusion criteria cover dependencies and evidence required for review. Additional information or corrections may be requested; unresolved concerns may prevent distribution.
Review is not a legal opinion or a guarantee that all rights issues have been identified. Developers remain responsible for the rights and permissions needed for their submissions.
To report suspected infringement or challenge a decision, use the IP dispute process. The App Fair may restrict or remove disputed material and suspend participation where appropriate under its Trust & Safety Policy.
